Laura Piccolo

Translator

Laura Piccolo is Associate Professor of Russian Literature at Roma Tre University. She deals with Russian emigration in the first half of the 20th century, contemporary Russian literature and… madness. She counts many publications in national and international volumes and journals. She is a translator of essays and poems by avant-garde and contemporary authors.

In 2011 she received “first work” mension at the Monselice Prize for the translation of Daniil Charms’s Di come Nicolino Punk volò in Brasile e Pierino Spazzoletta non ci ha creduto neanche un po’. In the context of translation for children, she held a workshop entitled “Humor: translating humor: Daniil Charms for the little ones” at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (Bologna, 3-6 April 2017)
