Alki Zei is one of Greece’s leading writers for children and her books have been translated in more than 20 languages. She was a nominee to the Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2004 and to the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in 2004, 2009 and 2015 and has won many national and international awards, including the Literature State Prize in Greece, the Athens Academy Award for her entire work and Premio Andersen in Italy.
