Jean-Claude van Rijckeghem is a Belgian writer and producer. He has written and produced many feature films in Belgium, including the Cannes Critics’ Week winner Moscow, Belgium, and My Dad is a Sausage (2022) and Sea Sparkle (2023) selected for Giffoni Film Festival. He is the author of several Young Adult novels of historical settings, which have been translated worldwide and critically acclaimed for his vibrant style, making him a master of the adventure novel. In 2023, Ironhead was published by Camelozampa, winner of the Andersen Prize for Best Book Over 15.
