Søren Jessen

Søren Jessen is an award-winning Danish author and illustrator. He made his debut as a writer in 1990 and has since published more than 50 books for children and adults, as well as illustrated many works by other authors. His work ranges from picture books to Young Adult fiction, graphic novels, and adult fiction. He has received several awards for his work, including the prestigious Danish Ministry of Culture Award.
Eva Valvo
(Translator)
Eva Valvo holds a PhD in Latin Philology with forays into Medieval Scandinavian Studies. She is a freelance translator and scout from Danish and Norwegian, with a preference for children’s and young adult literature, and collaborates with major Italian publishers. She was a finalist for the 2021 Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi Prize with Elise and the Second-Hand Dog by Bjarne Reuter. She is also involved in continuing education for translators from Scandinavian languages.
