Gideon Samson (1985) is a well-known Dutch children’s author.
In 2010 he was the youngest winner ever of the prestigious Dutch award Silver Pencil. Among the awards he has also won the Flag & Pennant and the Golden Pencil. He has been nominated five times for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, and some of his children’s books have entered the White Ravens and IBBY Honour List selections. His books have also been translated into Germany, Denmark, Spain, Slovenia, Russia, Turkey, China, Bulgaria and Iran.
