Ronke loves running. For her, the perfect run is by the sea, the wind in her hair, the sand under her feet, the smell of salt in her nostrils. However, two years ago she bumped into a little girl at the beach. This is because Ronke cannot see, that’s why.
Since that moment, Ronke only runs in her head, until she leaves for a summer camp dedicated to astronomical observation, where she gradually opens up to her friend Nouri. He challenges her to escape, and to truly run with him. Nouri has his own reasons to have no intention of staying at the camp.

Jef Aerts was born in Belgium in 1972. At first, the adult audience was the first target of his books, but he managed to find his own voice in literature for children. His texts are characterized by a poetic style, which earned him already multiple prizes, such as the Boekenleeuw and the Zilveren Griffel. Through his powerful style, his sense of language, and his emotivity, Aerts recreates timeless stories.
Veronica Truttero

After her degree at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna, Veronica Truttero has studied at the International School of Illustration of Sarmede, at the Ars in fabula School of Macerata, and got a master at the Drosselmeier Academy. Since 2016, she has been living in Ravenna, where she works as illustrator and bookseller in the children’s bookstore named Momo, inaugurated with two colleagues. For Camelozampa, she illustrated Jef Aerts’ La notte di Ronke Polly Horvath’s, La casa di Pine Island, winner of the Orbil prize, Polly Horvath’s Tutto sopra un waffle, Florence Thinard’s Meno male che il tempo era bello, finalist for the Strega Award, as well as Alice Keller’s Caro signor F. and Di notte.
Anna Patrucco Becchi

Anna Patrucco Becchi was born in 1965 in Genoa. She translates especially books for kids and children from German, Netherlander, English. After being finalist for three years consecutively as translator for the Strega Award, she won in 2019. In 2020, IBBY selected one of her translations as best Italian translation for the Honour List.
